Continuity is a production document

Separate generations do not remember the previous shot. Record the approved identity reference, wardrobe, prop state, time of day, key-light direction, screen direction, and camera side beside every shot. The prompt is only one part of the continuity system.

Protect spatial logic

If a subject exits frame right, the next shot should not casually reverse direction. If the key light comes from camera left, a matching close-up should not flip it without motivation. Consistent geography makes imperfect generations feel intentional.

  • Keep the same axis unless the sequence shows the change.
  • Match eyelines and object position across cuts.
  • Use the same approved reference family for adjacent shots.
  • Record the first and final pose of movement clips.

Design transition-safe coverage

Detail inserts, environment shots, reflections, hands, packaging, and texture give the edit neutral places to cut. They reduce the need for two complex human shots to match perfectly on adjacent frames.
